3rd Workshop of Initiation on Quantum Computing
Following the success of the previous editions, we recently held the 3rd Workshop of Initiation on Quantum Computing, jointly organized by the Institut de Química Teòrica i Computacional UB and the Institute of Cosmos Sciences (ICCUB) at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Universitat de Barcelona.
This third edition took another step forward by moving beyond the fundamentals and exploring applications of quantum computing to molecular chemistry and nuclear physics. Participants had the opportunity to connect quantum computing concepts with real scientific problems and gain hands-on experience with quantum algorithms and computational tools.
The workshop also included some exciting new activities. We had a dedicated session featuring Quantum Tycoon, an educational game designed to introduce and explore quantum computing concepts in an interactive way. We also had the opportunity to present and launch qUBshell, a new software initiative aimed at facilitating access to and interaction with quantum computing resources.
It was once again a great experience to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and work together with motivated students and researchers interested in exploring this rapidly developing field.
