Beca FPI Molecular Electronics using STM-CLOSED
Theoretical and experimental Research PhD Fellowship
More than 60 researchers, experts in several fields of the Theoretical and Computational Chemistry, integrate the Institute of Theoretical and Computational Chemistry of the Universitat de Barcelona (https://www.iqtc.ub.edu/en/). The research activity carried out at the IQTCUB covers methods and computational tools development, application of several techniques of electronic structures and simulation to problems in materials science, the study of reactivity and reaction dynamics in chemical reactions as well as of biological systems and soft-matter.
The IQTCUB is currently offers FPI 4-years doctoral fellowship Ministery, through Maria de Maeztu Program. Professors Ismael DÃez-Perez (King’s College London), Eliseo Ruiz (Universitat de Barcelona), will lead the project hereby described.
Details
Molecular Electronics using STM to study magnetic and chiral molecular systems, magnetic 2D layers, etc…The goal is to have efficient nanoscopic magnetoresistance devices for magnetic memories and memristors (see our previous papers, Nano Letters, 2016, 16, 218 and J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2017, 139, 5768). The PhD will focus on the measurements with the STM and the preparation of the samples for such technique.
