Postdoctoral Fellowship – Machine Learning
More than 60 researchers, experts in several fields of the Theoretical and Computational Chemistry, integrate the Institute of Theoretical and Computational Chemistry of the Universitat de Barcelona (https://www.iqtc.ub.edu/en/). The research activity carried out at the IQTCUB covers methods and computational tools development, application of several techniques of electronic structures and simulation to problems in materials science, the study of reactivity and reaction dynamics in chemical reactions as well as of biological systems and soft-matter.
The IQTCUB is currently accepting applications from post-doctoral researchers who want to join project led by Professor Eliseo Ruiz (http://www.ee.ub.edu/index.php/staff/prof-eliseo-ruiz).
Details
The goal of the research is to use machine learning methods to predict physical/chemical properties of materials and molecules that cannot be determined by means of usual electronic structure methods.
Requirements
- Machine learning expert for applications in Chemistry/Materials.
- Could also be a mathematician or computer scientist, but knowledge of Chemistry and Material Science will be considered.
- Advanced oral and written English.
