I am a computational fluid dynamicist by background with expertise in the field of flow and transport in porous media. I earned my Ph.D. from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, India (2016) in collaboration with E.T.S.I. Aeronáuticos, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. In mid-2025, I joined the Department of Chemical Engineering and Analytical Chemistry at Universitat de Barcelona as an Assitant Professor/profesora lectoraunder the Maria Goyri program.
My current research interests, based on coupled processes and complex systems in porous-media flows, tend to span across various disciplines of engineering and applied sciences and are driven by current challenges in the field of high-impact environmental technologies and microfluidics for biomedical applications. At Institut de Química Teorica i Computacional, I numerically investigate (i) hydrodynamic instabilities, either driven by buoyancy or viscosity effects coupled with chemical reactions at different scales, (ii) controlled migration of colloids via diffusiophoresis in porous media and microchannels, (iii) inertial flows in complex wall-bounded channels.
