Telari, Emanuele

Postdoctoral Researcher

Emanuele Telari holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering (2017) and an MSc in Nanotechnologies Engineering (2020) from Sapienza University of Rome. He subsequently completed a PhD in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics at the same institution in 2024. His doctoral research mainly focused on the application of machine learning techniques to molecular simulations of metal nanoclusters. In particular, his thesis explored the use of autoencoder neural network architectures for the structural classification of nanoclusters, as well as the implementation of enhanced sampling simulation techniques to investigate structural transitions of gold nanoclusters.

Since November 2024, Emanuele has been a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Barcelona, where he is currently studying the oxidation of metal nanoparticles. His work focuses on combining structural sampling techniques and machine learning tools for structural classification to obtain reliable phase diagrams of oxidized metal nanoparticles via machine learning interatomic potentials.

Finished thesis: 2024
Current group: Studying oxidation of metal nanoparticles with structural sampling + ML methods.
