Post-doctoral position with prof. Illas group
Research contract
More than 60 researchers, experts in several fields of the Theoretical and Computational Chemistry, integrate the Institute of Theoretical and Computational Chemistry of the Universitat de Barcelona (https://www.iqtc.ub.edu/en/). The research activity carried out at the IQTCUB covers methods and computational tools development, application of several techniques of electronic structures and simulation to problems in materials science, the study of reactivity and reaction dynamics in chemical reactions as well as of biological systems and soft-matter.
The IQTCUB is currently accepting applications from (pre-doc, post-doc) researchers who want to join the project/group led by Professor Francesc Illas Riera.
Details
A 37,5 h/week contract in the IQTC research staff is available. The position is funded by the Spanish Structures of Excellence Maria de Maeztu.
Research areas: Surface catalysis centred in methane activation using nanoclustered molybdenum carbide.
Requirements
- Previous experience in computational chemistry and computational software as VASP, AIMS and GAMESS.
- Excellent publication record.
- Excellent oral and written English.
